In 1980, College Furniture & Rug opened it's doors within a small 1500sq ft location in Allston, Ma. The purpose was to offer furniture at prices affordable to the areas college students. As College Furniture grew, a demand became apparent to offer a wider assortment of furniture lines. In 1991 due to this increase in demand, College Furniture had to expanded its floor space. In the beginning of 2000, College Furniture offered slightly higher end product lines for apartment living. College Furniture and Rug has become the areas leading distributor of furniture for college students and smaller apartment living.
